Yesterday was a full and productive day. It was also somewhat long and a tad pricy, seeing as I spent near 3 hours and $30 getting to Pleasanton and back. Still, it was good. My interview went excellently (it's easy, given the mainstream media ideas we have of Donald Trump and the like, to forget that Corporate people can be really nice and down-to-earth; howver, they really are), my midterm went excellently, and the program I spoke at went well enough (I was filling in as a Haas "adviser" for a major faire. For not being an adviser, I'm a damn good adviser).
The best moment, though, was by far this short and sweet conversation.
Me: "So, yeah, one of the things I've done in my diet is give up mammal meat."
Her: "Oh, so you're a pescetarian."
Me: "No, I'm Catholic."
Don't ask me why, but saying that totally made my day.

Oh, how much do I wish I could live in the North Bay. Only up there can you go 30 some-odd miles in three hours on mass transit.
One day, my friend, one day.
